What BskyKit keeps in your browser
To work without a server-side database, BskyKit keeps what it needs in your browser's storage for bskykit.app. It is only read by BskyKit in your browser and is never sent to our server.
- Your Bluesky session (IndexedDB and local storage), created by the Bluesky sign-in library: the session keys and tokens and the signed-in account. Signing out revokes the session on your Bluesky server and removes it.
- Run history (IndexedDB): the runs you start and the records each one created, so you can resume or undo them. It never contains credentials and stays until you remove entries from History.
- Run queue (local storage): the runs waiting for each account, so a paused run can resume after you close the tab.
- Kept lists (IndexedDB): the follow lists you load in Following Review and Follow Back and the list you load in List Clean Up, with the list you chose in Clean Up (local storage). They stay until you clear or refresh them, or sign out.
- Activity cache (IndexedDB): when each account you follow last posted, used for 24 hours so a paused check can resume.
- Work in progress (session storage): the links, accounts, and choices you are working on in the converter and Bulk Follow, so they survive the sign-in redirect. It ends when you close the tab.
- Theme (local storage): light or dark, if you chose one in the header. Without a choice the site follows your system setting.
You can clear all of it at any time in your browser's site settings for bskykit.app. Clearing it ends your session in this browser (sign out first to also revoke it on your Bluesky server) and removes your run history on this device; records already written to Bluesky stay as they are.
Requests to our server
BskyKit is served through Cloudflare. Like any web server, it processes standard request data, such as your IP address, the page requested, and your browser's user agent, to deliver the site and keep it secure; Cloudflare may keep this in its standard request logs. We add no analytics on top. More in Privacy.
